This is a genuine Weber brass float designed for Weber 32/36 DGV, DGAV, DGEV, DGMS, and 38mm DGAS carburetors.
Why brass float over a stock plastic float-
Ethanol in fuel makes carburetor floats heavy by absorbing water, causing the float to become saturated and sink, leading to flooding and poor engine performance.
This happens because ethanol is hygroscopic (attracts water), and the resulting water/ethanol mix can swell rubber, and leave gummy residues, making floats heavy and ineffective.
Weight of a new plastic float is 10 grams, if you suspect your plastic float has become heavy and is not closing the float needle you can weight it.
Brass float set height 41mm closed / 51mm open (this is different from the height of the plastic float)
