From the factory Toyota 8" V6 gears are 29 spline.
Toyota 4 cyl diff are 27 spline from the factory/ Aftermarket 4 cyl gears run a thicker pinion with 29 splines. When installing aftermarket gears in a 4 cyl with 29 spline pinion you must run 29 spline pinion yoke, seal and nut.
